| 仕事の内容 |
Job Overview General Manager (GM) oversees the operations of a global company within United States of America. The GM accomplishes this by acting as a liaison between the main office and the facilities in their assigned country or area. The GM must make sure that the organization’s goals are being met in the country/area and that the employees of that country/area are meeting the standards that the organization has required. Conversely, the GM also represents the country/area’s office with the main global office to make sure that the country/area office’s needs are being met. Furthermore, the GM must make sure their organization is obeying local laws and regulations. In addition to the liaison duties, the GM also performs general management duties such as supervising staff, ensuring financial targets are met, maintaining and cultivating customer relationships, coordinating sales activities, overseeing market research, and developing strategies. To become a GM, a bachelor’s degree is required. Because this is a supervisory role, at least five years of experience in a management position is essential. A GM may also be expected to have experience working on an international scale and usually must be familiar with their assigned country/area. A prospective GM should be familiar with the customs and laws of the country, as well as being able to communicate in the local language(s). Job Responsibilities: •Manage all aspects of the products or project implementation in the assigned country •Communicate with the primary regional office, report on progress, and act as the organization’s representative in that country •Coordinate, develop, and oversee staff, projects, and sales •Develop goals and policies and establish standard operating procedures that are in alignment with the organization’s mission |
